ESNAA

The UAE’s First Copper Smelter – Empowering Regional Industrial Independence

ESNAA is the UAE’s first large-scale copper smelter, established to address the growing regional demand for high-purity copper and reduce dependency on imported cathodes. As a strategic industrial subsidiary under AMA Group UAE, ESNAA plays a critical role in transforming the country’s non-ferrous metals sector through localized production, advanced smelting technologies, and ESG-aligned operations.

With planned operations commencing by 2028, the facility will process copper concentrates into 99.99% LME-grade cathodes, supporting the UAE’s energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. Located strategically near the UAE’s major ports, ESNAA is designed for high-efficiency logistics and seamless integration into global supply chains. In addition to copper, the project integrates precious metal recovery, sulfuric acid byproduct utilization, and sustainability-focused features including zero-liquid discharge and solar-powered systems — ensuring alignment with UAE Net Zero 2050 and Vision 2031. Backed by secured raw material supply agreements and government-endorsed industrial support, ESNAA is positioned to become a regional leader in green, value-added metals processing.
